Giorgos Chimonas (Kavala, March 17, 1938 – Paris, February 27, 2000) was a Greek prose writer, translator and psychiatrist who became known and distinguished in the field of Greek literature in the 1960s. Giorgos Himonas was born in Kavala in 1938 and grew up in Thessaloniki. There he studied medicine. He continued his studies in Paris, specializing in psychiatry and neurolinguistics.
