Der Musiker und Komponist Dr. Volker LeiB wurde 1966 in Birkenfeld an der Nahe geboren. Seit 1971 lebt er In Steinfurt. Im Hauptberuf ist er Mediziner, doch mit der Musik kam er schon als Fünfjahriger in Berührung. Er besuchte die allgemeine musikalische Früherziehung der Musikschule Steinfurt. 1974 erhielt er Einzelunter­richt an derselben Schule.
